SANSADIYA SOUDHA

North of Parliament House, across the Taikatora Road, stands
the Sansadiya Soudha, the new Parliament House Annexe built on
a 3.85 hectare plot at a cost of Rupees 3.7 crores (37 million).
This modern functional structure consists of a three-storeyed front
block housing common facilities like Members lounges, a multi-
purpose hall with auditorium, rail/air booking offices, bank, post
office and dispensary; a central seven-storeyed block accommoda-
ting party offices, press lounge and rooms, banquet hall and
offices of the secretariats of the two Houses of Parliament; and a
three-storeyed rear block where are located five committee rooms
around a central court with a pool.
